Swimming pool maintenance
For those lucky enough to have a private swimming pool, cleaning and maintaining it is an essential part of property ownership. An uncared for pool can quickly result in a real headache regardless of whether you are renting your property or you simply need to be able to jump straight in when you arrive after a long journey to Spain.
Due to the hot weather in Spain, a pool that is not regularly maintained and chemically treated can quickly lead to the growth of bacteria, causing infections – especially in children. Any owner renting their property should be aware that cutting corners and avoiding paying for this essential service can result in claims being made against them. Additionally, pools that are not regularly cared for can need much more time spent on them in terms of cleaning than is saved by not having a regular maintenance agreement in place. A pool full of green water is not the best welcome to Spain!
All pools are individually priced as cost will depend on size as well as the shape of the pool – our usual contracts are based on annual maintenance but we are happy to provide a flexible service and shorter contracts can also be arranged. A pool maintenance contract generally consists of a two visits per week during the peak months of July and August, once weekly during the months of May-June and September, with a visit every 2-3 weeks from October to April.[singlepic=1,320,240,,left]Chemical levels are checked and corrected if necessary, the pool will be cleared of all floating debris, vacuumed and the water will be left crystal clear for enjoyable and safe swimming. Visits can also depend on use – whether the property is rented or not and the number of guests using the pool. We guarantee a reliable service – you can be sure that we are there servicing your pool whether or not you are due to visit.
Our experienced pool maintenance team will usually be in and out within an hour, causing the minimum inconvenience to either yourselves or your guests.
